Boardrockin’ Beach Party
Beach season is here (finally!) and Brooklyn Based is giving you even more reason to hop on the A train. In addition to the many edible offerings at the Rockaway Beach Club, there’ll be $3 Brooklyn Brewery cans all day, plus a photo booth and a live show from ’80s cover band White Wedding at 6pm. Crawfish Boil
If you missed last week’s crawfish dinner at the Brooklyn Brewery, fear not: Sycamore‘s got another opportunity for a crustacean feast. For $25, dig into a bucket of crawfish along with a pint of beer from Abita (after the first one, seasonal brews are just $5 all day). There are two afternoon seatings, sign up for the 2pm here and the 4pm here.

Bon Appetit Grub Crawl
The foodie mag introduces its new event series exploring the best culinary offerings of three cities, and it starts in none other than our own Kings County. Friday and Saturday’s events are sold out, but you can still snag a ticket for Sunday’s trek through Red Hook, which includes stops at Fort Defiance, Stumptown Coffee Roasters, and Mile End‘s new kitchen. Pop-Up Ramen
It’s a full moon on Monday, but the only thing that scares us is missing out on a great bowl of ramen. Lunetta (Smith Street) will be hosting a pop-up ramen affair next week (and on subsequent full moons every month starting this fall), featuring a charred long bean and tofu salad, ‘wicked’ wings, and sesame-crusted shrimp. If you’re worried the weather is getting too warm for ramen, they’ve got you covered: they’ll also be offering up a strawberry-yuzu lemonade (hooch optional). This is your last chance to try their monthly ramen extravaganza before it returns in September, so noodle on over there and get some!

A Slow Slur
Drink slow, with Slow Food NYC at their bi-monthly happy hour social, ‘The Brooklyn Slur.’ This time, the Slow Foodies are setting up camp at Parish Hall, where the cocktail program hews as closely as chef Evan Hanczor’s menu to the restaurant’s farm-to-table mentality and place-based ethos. For the Slur, Parish Hall will be extending their Cocktail Hour specials ($3 off on cocktails and selected wines and beers) till the end of our event.

Spring Forward!
Support the Gowanus Canal Conservancy at this festive bash that features local eats and live music. The BBQ-centric dinner features jerk chicken from Applewood, kielbasa from Brooklyn Cured, ribs from Lot 2, smoked brisket from Mile End, and rolls from Runner & Stone. Meet Your Maker Tasting Series Part 3
Join Kelly Taylor, head brewer of Kelso, for the third installment of 61 Local‘s tasting series. For this sweet-toothed edition, Kelso beers pair up with ice cream from Phin & Phebes, which means one thing: ice cream and beer floats! Get tickets, and get ready for the series finale on July 11, when the favorite combos from all the past tastings are brought back for an encore.

Smorgasboat
The good folks behind the Brooklyn Flea have outdone themselves once again: they’ve created Smorgasboat, an East River sunset cruise with your favorite food vendors. All the proceeds go to City Harvest, so you’re helping out a good cause while indulging in snacks from AsiaDog, Egg, Sunday Gravy and more, plus libations from Brooklyn Brewery, Brooklyn Bridge Wine Bar, and Brooklyn Roasting Co. Once you’re back on dry land, head to the afterparty at King & Grove, Hotel Williamsburg’s swanky new rooftop bar. With only enough room for 150-200 on board, tickets won’t last long.

Brooklyn Waterfront Beer Festival
There’s no shortage of beer festivals in this city, but it’ll be hard to top one with fresh air and killer views along the East River. The folks behind the NYC Craft Beer Festival are bringing this first-ever fest to Kings County, with over 90 breweries, featuring the best local, American, and international craft beer, with a special focus on summer seasonals.
